FOCUS ON SLEEP
Adequate and quality sleep will support your
Body’s natural detoxification.
Sleep deprivation stops your body from removing waste byproducts (such as beta-amyloid for example which contributes to Alzheimer disease)
7-9 hours of sleep is highly suggested.
Our cleanses include a de-stressing calming drink for the evening that will help prepare your body for a restful night and aid in nighttime renewal and detoxification.
DRINK WATER
In addition to our cleansing juices we recommend drinking plenty of water. Women should drink approximately 90oz and men 125oz of water per day.
Water transports waste products, efficiently removing them through sweat, urination and breathing.
Support your Cleanse by giving your body enough water to flush out waste.
AVOID ALCOHOL
Avoid alcohol during your cleanse
90% of alcohol is metabolized in your liver.
While liver enzymes metabolize alcohol- your liver can not function adequately and perform necessary tasks for detoxification.
IF YOU CHOOSE TO ADD FOOD
Avoid Sugar and processed food.
Highly Processed food has been linked to obesity, chronic diseases, cancer and diabetes. Sugar consumption can cause fatty liver that negatively impacts your liver function.
If you need to add food to your cleanse keep it clean:
salads, broths, raw vegetables, almonds, chia puddings, quinoa or oatmeal
Choose antioxidant rich foods during and after your diet.
Berries, fruits, coffee and green tea are very high in antioxidants. Please make sure to choose coffee from a high altitude, organic clean source such as our OMG coffee.
GUT HEALTH
Eat foods high in Prebiotics.
An unhealthy balance of bacteria is your gut can weaken the immune system, create uneven clogged skin and weaken your natural detoxification system.
Good Prebiotic feed the good bacteria in your gut, examples are Tomatoes, Bananas, Asparagus and Oats.
STAY ACTIVE
Even though you may feel some fatigue and experience headache during your cleanse. Stay active. Regular exercise helps your body’s detoxification. Even if its just a daily walk, keep your body, mind and soul moving during your cleanse. Fatigue and Headache during a cleanse are natural side effects of detoxification, especially when your body is used to a lot of sugar or caffeine- it will need time to adjust.
